Stefanie is the founder and owner of Lighthouse Speech Therapy, PLLC. Born in the Roscoe/Rockton area, she is dedicated to providing speech and language services to the community she calls home. After studying Communication Sciences and Disorders at Augustana College, she completed her Masters degree at Eastern Illinois University. Upon graduation, Stefanie and her husband moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she worked in the public school system and earned her English as a Second Language Endorsement. She has specific interest in the areas of Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Speech Sound Disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Early Language Development. She has extensive experience in the educational system, and is passionate about helping children reach their early communication goals. Stefanie holds her ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and is licensed to practice in Illinois.

"Alicia has been a speech and language pathologist for 11 ½ years.  She lives in Rockton with her husband and 3 children, who are 6, 4, and 2. She also has 2 cats, 4 rabbits, and a water turtle .  Born in Southern Illinois, she acquired her bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and master’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  She has extensive knowledge working in the education system.  Alicia began her career at Ball Chatham School District near Springfield, IL and moved north after meeting her husband.  She has worked for 9 ½ years in the area, previously working for Kinnikinnick School District for 8 of those years and now working for Rockford Public School District. She has extensive work experience in augmentative and alternative communication, language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, as well as experience working in autism and other self-contained therapy programs.  Alicia loves to grow as a speech and language pathologist and has worked with individuals pre-k through high school as well as early intervention.  She is excited to work in the private sector directly with families and make a difference in the community.  Alicia holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and is licensed to practice in Illinois. She is excited to join the Lighthouse Team.

Haley joined Lighthouse Speech Therapy part time just this last fall. She was born and raised in the Freeport area... go Pretzels! In June of 2022, she moved to Loves Park with her husband, who is also a speech language pathologist. Haley studied Communication Sciences and Disorders at Augustana College. After graduating in 2019, she completed her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology at Western Illinois University. Upon graduation, Haley began working at Harlem School District, where she still works full time in addition to working part time at Lighthouse. She has specific interests in speech sound disorders, early language development, Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), and Gestault Language Processing. She has experience working in the educational system, specifically early childhood education, as well as the pediatric clinical setting. Outside of providing speech and language services, Haley enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading books, and playing with her dog, Sadie!  Haley holds her ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and is licensed to practice in Illinois. Haley is excited to join the Lighthouse Team!

Lynsey was born and raised in Marengo and recently moved to Cherry Valley with her husband and one-year-old daughter. She studied Communication Sciences and Disorders at Illinois State University and went on to complete her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology at Western Illinois University. Upon graduation, she worked in the public school system with students aged three through thirteen. She has experience treating articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders/delays, and the implementation of augmentative and alternative communication. Above all, Lynsey enjoys not only working alongside the child, but providing families with the confidence to advocate for their child beyond the therapy doors. Outside of providing speech therapy, Lynsey enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and black lab, Remi. She holds her ASHA Clinical Certificate of Clinical Competence and is licensed to practice in Illinois. Treating patients from preschool through adolescence is a mastery Lynsey is proud to practice and provide!

Leah received her undergraduate degree and Master's degree at Western Illinois University. Leah currently works full-time at Rockford Public School District 205 and part-time at Lighthouse as of summer 2023. Leah loves every aspect of being a Speech Language Pathologist and providing people with a voice. If Leah is not working, you can find her in the kitchen cooking new recipes and baking desserts to share with family and friends. She has specific interests in parent/child rights, language development, Alternative and Augmentative Communication, Gastault Language Processing, and Feeding therapy. She has previous experience working with children in Kindergarden through 5th grade, self-contained Austim classrooms, speed sound disorders, language disorders, and AAC.

Kristi received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Illinois State University. Prior to joining the Lighthouse team, she worked in the public school setting full-time. While she loves the diversity that the speech language pathology field has to offer, her passion is working with speech sound disorders, language development, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She is so excited to begin serving the families within our community! 

Kristi Kamholz M.S., CCC-SLP

Patrice has extensive experience as a speech language pathologist! She received her Bachelor's degree from Butler University and her Master's degree at Northern Illinois University. She has worked for many years in the Harlem School District and has also served as the Department Chair for the speech and language department. Her clients have wonderful things to say about her interaction, ability to engage with children, and her attention to detail. We love having Patrice on our team!
